This is a list of things I generally enjoy or don’t enjoy in fanworks, as a point of reference for creating any gifts for me (thank you so much in advance)! ❤If you’ve landed here from an exchange, hopefully I was more detailed in my wishlist. :) Note that there may be some things here that contradict what I wrote in my wishlist – that’s because there are certain things I enjoy in some fandoms/dynamics, but not others, and this is meant to be a general reference.

Some specific notes:

  • If you’re not sure if something crosses a line with me (ex. if it qualifies as extreme underage, or if it’s maybe too nonconny to be considered dubcon), please err on the side of caution

  • Anything that happens in canon is typically fine to include unless I’ve stated otherwise

  • I’m not sure what the best way to explain what I consider extreme kink is other than by giving some (non-comprehensive) examples:

  • - NOT extreme kink: BDSM, forms of violenceplay (rough sex, gunplay, knifeplay, etc), general roleplay, somnophilia, tentacles

  • - extreme kink: bodily fluids (scatplay, emetophilia, watersports), vore, bestiality, extreme underage ageplay

about commissions

If you have a general request for me to write something, you can always drop a message in my askbox! I will always consider any requests that come in, though there’s no guarantee if or when I’ll complete any given request. I may also reinterpret the prompt or only use some parts of it.If you commission a new work, you can have as much (or as little) creative control as you would like. I’ll work with you to decide on the direction of the story, and check in with you to make sure you’re happy with how it’s going. It will also be completed within the timeline that we agree upon.If you’d like to sponsor a WIP, I retain full creative control, but it will bump the next chapter of the WIP to the top of my to-write list. In exchange, WIP sponsorships are discounted 50%. If I was already going to be working on the WIP next anyway, I will tell you upfront. :)If you’d like to commission an extra of an existing work (missing scenes, prequels, sequels, prologues, epilogues. etc.), I retain most of the creative control, but the extra will be focused on what you’re interested in seeing. These will also be discounted compared to original commissions. (Please note that I generally don’t write alternate POVs of existing scenes or works.)

4. After the fic is finished, I’ll deliver it to you via AO3 (either as a gift or not, depending on your preference). If you prefer the story not to be posted at all, I will send you an EPUB file instead.

Thank you so much for writing for me! I really appreciate the time you’re putting into this, and I know I’m going to absolutely love whatever you come up with! ❤For reference, I have a general list of my likes and dislikes that you can check out if you’d like to get a sense of what I enjoy in fanworks. Below I’ve written a bit more about the specific fandoms that I’ve chosen, but don’t sweat the details – if you have another idea, I’m very excited for it!Most importantly, I’m very excited to share this fandom with you, and I hope you have fun writing!

wayne family adventures

I’ve been following WFA since it was first published and I absolutely adore it! As a long-time comics fan, I love the dysfunctional nature of main DCU Batfam, but it’s also nice to be able to get a glimpse of the other side – in a mirror, brightly.I would love to read a WFA fic that captures the same energy of shenanigans and low-stakes drama, with a focus on exploring their relationships with each other. I only listed Dick as a character because I’d prefer the work to be mostly Dick-centric (I am very attached to him and his Eldest Daughter Syndrome), but any and all other characters that appear in WFA are great to include!DNWs: bad dad Bruce, Lazarus pit rage-y Jason, any “best Robin” drama. Also I know in WFA Dick cannot cook but in main DC he skillfully and happily feeds his family so please, for me, avoid kitchen disaster Dick.Here are some ideas (in no particular order) that you are free to take or leave or mishmash together as the mood strikes you:

  • It’s interesting to think about how the dysfunctional building blocks of the canon storyline would have played out in this kinder world, given the overall gentler characterizations (Dick being fired and Jason becoming Robin? Steph’s Robin era and War Games? Jason returning as the Red Hood? Battle for the Cowl? The whole Ric Grayson amnesia nightmare?)

  • I love time/dimension travel and de-ageing and I think the shenanigans those scenarios can lead to would fit right in with WFA (if it ends up getting a little angsty, that works for me too!)

  • I think WFA lends itself well to story formats that span lengths of time – for example, 5+1 fics

WFA leans into the platonic family dynamic a lot more than most incarnations of the Batfam, so if gen is your speed, then full steam ahead!If you’re interested in injecting some shippiness, I love Bruce/Dick (getting together as adults), Dick/Jason, Jason/Tim, Steph/Cass, and any poly combinations. Canon-y ships are also cool (Bruce/Selina, Bruce/Talia, Dick/Babs, Dick/Helena, Tim/Steph, etc.). Pretty much any background ship is good with me (except no BatJokes or RiddleBat or the like please). Explicit works are fine but I prefer it not be PWP (and no explicit scenes involving Damian please).

dc vs. vampires

I absolutely did not have Dick Grayson the Vampire King on my bingo card this year, but I am definitely not mad about it. (Okay, a little sad that he murdered Bruce right out of the gate, but honestly I understand his reasoning and I respect his choices.)I’ve only put Dick down for characters since I would like for the work to be Dick-centric, but I’m open to the inclusion of any and all of the other characters! I just greatly desire more exploration of Vampire King Dick in my life. In the main story, he’s portrayed as mostly one-note evil, and I’d love to see that characterization broken down and incorporating more of the Dick Grayson who only got turned in the first place because he would do anything for family. How did he go from A to B? What if he retained more of his humanity?Here are some ideas (in no particular order) that you are free to take or leave or mishmash together as the mood strikes you:

  • As fun as it is to see everyone vs Dick, I love his community and I would love to see someone willingly choosing to join him. Dick couldn’t bring himself to kill Melinda to prevent himself from getting turned, even knowing she betrayed him, but all of Dick’s closest friends can’t wait to stake him!! (And yes, he’s trying to kill all humans and take over the world, but look, he still could use a good friend, okay.) Canon divergence where someone from the Batfamily joins him? Dick with the Titans at his side? I’m into it all.

  • I find it so ironic that, in All-Out War, Slade is carrying Bruce’s remains all over the world looking for a Lazarus Pit to dump him into so that Bruce can lead the human resistance against Dick. There’s so much potential in this storyline and dynamic and I would love to see any exploration of it!

  • I might be the only one, but I have a soft spot for Melinda & Dick. We have no idea what happened to her after she got Dick turned in All-Out War (maybe we’ll find out!) but I’d love to see some vampire power sibs. (What are sisters for if not helping you take over the world? Especially if they got you turned in the first place.)

If you’re interested in making things shippy (no pressure at all; I love a good gen!) I’d love to see Bruce/Dick, Dick/Jason, or Dick/Slade here. I’m also down for rarepairs (Dick/Midnighter? Dick/Clark?) and any poly combinations. Pretty much any background ship is good with me so throw in your faves! Explicit works are fine but I prefer it not be PWP.

nirvana in fire

Nirvana in Fire has so much of what I love that I feel so spoiled watching it: secret identities, political intrigue, hardcore loyalty kinks, and lifelong loves, to name a few. I’m especially interested in the relationship(s) of the core three: Mei Changsu/Lin Shu, Xiao Jingyan, and Mu Nihuang.Whether you interpret their connection as wholly platonic, romantic OT3, or a mix of both, I would love to read a fic centered around the three of them. I welcome any and all of the other characters (Xia Dong? Consort Jing?) so long as the fic’s focus is the main three!Here are some ideas (in no particular order) that you are free to take or leave or mishmash together as the mood strikes you:

  • Missing canon scenes – this could also include pre-canon, maybe with MCS keeping tabs on them from afar, or MNH/XJY interactions with the ghost of LS’s presence. (If you go with something along the lines of that last one, it’s fine if MCS/LS doesn’t appear physically in the story, so long as his presence is felt!)

  • I’m a fan of AUs, whether canon divergence (Prince Qi didn’t die? MNH marries XJY?) or full-on modern AUs. Or any other kind of AU. Wingfic? Soulmates? Sci-fi? Mermaids? Superpowers? Yes to all! (Please no main characters as cops if you decide to go the AU route.)

  • Speaking of canon divergence, if you want to give me a happy ending to NiF where everyone gets a hug that would be swell

If you’d like to include other ships with the main three, I’d be happy to see MCS/Lin Chen and MNH/Xia Dong. I’m also always down for any poly combinations. Pretty much any background ship is good with me so throw in your faves! Explicit works are fine but I prefer it not be PWP.
